One of my 2014 goals is to read at least one book a month…so at least 12 books by December 31. I was inspired to do this after seeing Listgirl’s post about the books she read in 2013. I have been wanting to read more and now that I’m feeling settled after the birth of our second daughter, now is the time to start. In order to do this I will try to get to bed by 10:30pm on most nights so I can read for at least 30 minutes.
I already have a big pile of my own books that I could read but when I saw this list of 16 Books to Read Before They Hit Theaters I thought it would be a great list to pull from. I will get as many of these from the LA Public Library system as possible, but for those I can’t I’ll be reading on our Kindle Paperwhite. I’ll review each book I read but you can also follow me over at Goodreads. I may not finish each book before the movie comes out but I will be going to see each movie and I’ll be reviewing those here too.
My January book will be Labor Day by Joyce Maynard. The movie comes out January 31 so I’m really going to try and finish this one by the end of the month.

Thanks for commenting on my blog so I can check out your 2014 book reading challenge! I love reading but did not make it a priority until 2013. I hope to read more in 2014! :)
